The hit (UK) ITV1 show ‘House Guest’ is producing a new series, but this time it will be filmed in Paphos Cyprus, and will be called ‘House Guest in the Sun’. The production team is already in Cyprus looking for five couples to star in the new series.
The program’s researcher, Tallulah Radula-Scott said about the new series “It is a fantastic feel-good program where five couples take turns to host a dinner party, going all out with the cocktails, food and entertainment. Each night the guests then score the host’s efforts before finding out which of them will be staying over for the full bed and breakfast experience. This overnight stay is also scored and at the end of the week, the hosts with the highest score win a big cash prize."
Tallulah added “Two very successful series of House Guest, which were filmed in the UK, have already been aired, but the new series, House Guest in the Sun, will add a splash of glamour. One of the reasons that Cyprus was chosen is because of the great weather which continues into autumn. It will be good to film people sitting outside in the sun and sipping cocktails."
The producers are currently looking for all types of couples of all ages, who are English-speaking, and who love to entertain and meet new people. The couples could be married, related, friends, workmates or any other kind of partnership. They must be able to give up five evenings in the week, and one day - or at least an afternoon - on the day they are hosting. Only one person from each couple - the lead contestant - will attend every dinner party, while their partner helps them to host their own evening.
The filming will take place in people’s homes in Cyprus, whilst preparing the dinner, as well as planning the dinner party, or even shopping for produce at the local market or bakery. Filming begins from 19th October.
If you are aged over 18 years old and speak English, you can apply for your chance to appear on House Guest in the Sun by sending an email to houseguestinthesun@itv.com
