Cyprus beaches with disabled access 
Cyprus beaches are just one of the many popular reasons that people want to visit again and again due to the constantly warm climate that Cyprus has to offer. There is nothing more relaxing than a day at the beach. Swimming in the warm mediterranean sea during the hot summer months is not only very popular, but highly recommended for keeping cool. One should always remember to take care in the hot sun to avoid sunburn and dehydration.
The beaches in Cyprus vary from place to place, so it is best to check what facilities are available beforehand. Some beaches are mostly long sandy stretches of beach, whilst others are mostly shingles and stones. Currently (as of August 2009) Cyprus has 53 beaches that have been awarded Blue Flag status. The Blue Flag Programme is owned and run by the independent non-profit organisation Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which works towards sustainable development at beaches/marinas through strict criteria dealing with water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, and safety and other services.
Of those 53 beaches, 33 have some facilities and access for handicapped / disabled people. All of the beaches listed below have blue flag status, but more importantly all of them have disabled access, as stated by the CTO. It should be noted that wheelchair ramps are generally removed during the winter months so as to protect them from storm and sea damage. Red flags mark swimming areas on all beaches, and speed boats or floating craft are not allowed to enter these areas. Lifeguards are only on duty during daytime hours, which can vary from beach to beach, but is generally around 10am to 5pm during the summer months.

LIMASSOL REGION
Akti Olympion A Beach
Akti Olympion A is a 2 kilometres long, 40 metres wide dak grey sandy beach with moderate waves. It also has pedestrian walkways.
Akti Olympion B Beach
Akti Olympion B is an urban sandy beach which is beside Akti A beach.
Aoratoi Beach
Aoratoi Beach is a nice sandy beach located in Pyrgos.
Aphrodite Beach
A gorgeous sandy beach located in Ayios Tychonas.
Pissouri Beach
A calm and peacefull beach located on the southern point of the village. It is noted for its fine golden sand, multicoloured small pebbles, moderate waves and crystal clear azure waters. Its protected on either side by the spectacular white cliffs of Cape Aspro.
Vouppa Beach
A lovely quiet sandy beach located in Agios Tychonas.
Dasoudi Beach

Aktis Olympian Beach
This is more commonly known as Olympia beach. Its a very wide sandy beach close to the Limassol tourist area. *2009 - Fitted with a special wheelchair and plastic walkway opposite lifeguard post.
AMMOCHOSTOS REGION
Fig Tree Bay
This is one of the most popular beaches in the region, so expect to find it busy. It has a long stretch of fine white sand, and clean, shallow water. *2009 - Fitted with a special wheelchair and plastic walkway opposite lifeguard post.
Konnos Beach
Just 4 km east of Agia Napa on the road between Cape Greco and Protaras, you will find Konnos beach. It is one of the most picturesque beaches on the island, and is well sheltered from heavy winds, and the sea has very little in the way of waves. It is 200 metres long by 35 metres wide and covered with fine golden sand.
Landa Beach
Landa is a charming little beach with calm waters. It is just 400 meters long by 50 metres wide and covered with fine golden sand. You will find it halfway between Makronisos Beach and Nissi Bay Beach in Agia Napa, only 500 meters away from both.
Louma Beach
Located in Paralimni, this sandy beach is acclaimed as a very popular resort.
Nissi Beach
Located two km west of Ayia Napa, this 600 metres long and 40 metres wide beach is covered with fine golden sand. Being well sheltered from the wind and with calm waters, it attracts many tourists in both winter and summer seasons.
Nissi Bay Beach
This beach forms part of the main Nissi beach (above), this part of the beach being 300 metres long and 40 metres wide. It also has the protection from the winds, and calm seas. The word Nissi means 'small island', and the bay is sheltered by the small Nissi Island, which adds to the unique scenery.
Potami Beach
This is a beautiful sandy beach located in Paralimni.
Protaras Beach
This is a very beautiful sandy beach situated in Paralimni, popular with tourists.
Vathia Gonia Beach
This beach in Ayia Napa is fully protected from the winds, and is 300 metres long and 40 metres wide, with moderate waves.
Vrisi Beaches A, B, and C
A trio of lovley sandy beaches offering a combination of watersports with eating facilites nearby.
Yianna Marie Beach

Ayia Thekla Beach
Situated 7km west of Ayia Napa, this is one of the quieter beaches where relaxation is guaranteed. *2009 - Fitted with a special wheelchair and plastic walkway opposite lifeguard post.
LARNACA REGION
Ellinas Beach
A sandy beach popular with both locals and tourists.
Mckenzie Beach
Mckenzie Beach is close to Larnaka airport, a popular beach for those who may like to spot a plane or two whilst enjoying the pleasures of the beach. Its a good long sized beach, with soft grey sand, and nice walkway.
Phinikoudes Beach
The meaning of 'Phinikoudes' is small palm trees, however most of the palm trees that line the beach promenade are now big beautiful palm trees. The trees were planted in 1922, when the beach was given its name, and was lined with small palm trees. This is a long 500m grey sandy beach, very popular and the best known Cyprus beach amongst tourists and locals alike.

Yanathes Beach is a lovely sandy beach located in Voroclini.
PAPHOS REGION
Camping Site Beach
A beach located in Polis Chrysochous, it is a mixture of sandy beach and pebbles.
Coral Bay Beach
A sandy beach popular with both tourists and locals, this beach is located in Pegeia.
Geroskipou Beach
Another sandy beach also popular with both tourists and locals.
Municipal Baths Beach
Located in the heart of the tourist area of Kato Pafos, just a few meters off from Poseidonos Avenue and 300 metres from Pafos Castle. Its a sandy beach with very few rocks, and very popular with the locals.
Municipal Beach
A mixture of sandy beach and pebbles, located in Polis Chrysochous.
Vrisoudia B Beach
Situated near the hotels in the tourist area of Kato Pafos, off Poseidonos Avenue. This sandy beach offers beautiful views of Paphos harbour and castle. A very popular tourist beach.
Pachyammos Beach
This is a narrow sandy beach with only a few rocks. It is situated in the Paphos tourist area, in front of the hotels by Poseidonos Avenue.
